In 2025, HealthPartners will help employers comply with the 2024 RxDC reporting, a compliance requirement for employers with employer sponsored health plans to report pharmacy and medical claims data by June 1, 2025.
This effort aims to increase transparency in prescription drug and health care spending. For more details, review the CMS instructions.
Data Collection and Key Points:
- HealthPartners will assist fully insured and self-insured clients with RxDC reporting, and will need additional information to ensure a complete submission on the employer’s behalf.
- Employers with terminated coverage will receive an email with a link to HealthPartners RxDC. This page contains a link to the self-insured and fully insured version of the survey.
- HealthPartners will collect this data through an electronic survey available to current employer clients through the Employer Portal.
- The survey must be completed for any portion of 2024 in which the employer had medical coverage with HealthPartners.
- HealthPartners will not submit claims for carve-out vendors. This includes pharmacy data for employers that carve out prescription drug coverage.

RxDC Survey Timeline – Due April 15
- On Feb. 11, an email was sent to the delegate for all employers with 2024 medical coverage with a request to complete a survey by April 15, 2025. Current medical customers will access the survey through the authenticated employer portal, while former customers will complete the survey via HealthPartners RxDC.
- If clients don’t complete the survey, we will submit limited data, and the submission will not be complete. Missing data must be submitted to CMS by the employer or another reporting entity. Employers accept any risk from not providing the requested information.
Helping Clients
Brokers will not have access to complete the survey via the Broker Portal. For clients with current HealthPartners coverage, please work with the employer to complete the survey via the authenticated Employer Portal. For former clients, you can help them complete the survey via HealthPartners RxDC.
