This year’s Healthapalooza included several award winners being recognized by LeClair, DBS, and AnnuityVip. Each of these agents and agencies exemplify success and going above and beyond to take care of clients.
Rising Star Award
The recipient of the LeClair Rising Star award strives to be the best in her field, focusing on serving individuals and businesses in the health insurance arena. One of her best qualities is taking a complex problem and making it easier for clients to understand. Congratulations to Morgan Reed from Hanover, Kansas for earning this award.
Agent of the Year
The Agent of the Year represents a true professional when it comes to understanding all the aspects of Health insurance. This year’s recipient started in the business about 11 years ago and is described as service oriented and as a ‘book of health insurance knowledge.” Amy Oakvik, from A&L Insurance in Cedar, Minnesota, our Agent of the Year, realizes that education, technology, along with a strong mentorship is important to the success of the agency and its members.
Agency of the Year
Our Agency of the Year award represents a culture of strong relationships. This agency supports their members in the business, individual and senior product space. Life Agent of the Year
Life insurance is a $12 trillion opportunity and this year’s DBS Life Insurance Agent of the Year exemplifies the importance of making life insurance a consistent part of conversations with clients. Last year, Eric Setrum had the most paid target premium amongst LeClair agents and was truly a frontrunner in life insurance sales. He, like his fellow agents at the Citizens Alliance Agency in Montevideo, Minnesota, thrives to make sure his clients are getting the most upfront value and goes above and beyond to provide an excellent experience for his clients. AnnuityVip Agent of the Year
Many agents have begun incorporating annuity products to their portfolios thanks to our exclusive partner, AnnuityVip. No one was more successful at this during the past year than Michael Boho of Hero Insurance & Planning in Lanesboro, Minnesota. AnnuityVip President Jared Taggart recognized Michael’s ability to demonstrate how annuities are an effective long-term investment strategy. He’s an expert in risk management and possesses an amazing ability to discuss and explain investment strategies to his clients.

AnnuityVip has also developed outstanding partnerships with many agencies in the area as well. During the past year one of their brightest agency relationships was with Gopher State Agency in Spring Lake Park, Minnesota. Gopher State has been providing superior service since 1962. They offer insurance from automobile to home to Workers Comp and more. Recently, they connected with AnnuityVip to add annuities to the mix and have truly excelled.
